Obituary

Lee Parker was born with the name, Elmer Lee Parker on July 23, 1937, in Cody, Wyoming to Mary and Normand Parker, the first of four children.  He hated the name "Elmer" his whole life, so he went by "Lee", only signing Elmer Lee Parker on legal documents.

Lee graduated from Watsonville High School, California in 1955.  After attending San Jose State College for a period of time he became the owner/manager of two print shops, Pajaro Printing in Watsonville, California and Mission Printers in Santa Cruz, California.

As a young man he was fascinated with airplanes and flight.  During his lifetime he was able to fly in an ultralight, a hot air balloon, an aerobatic airplane, and while in Mexico he went parasailing.

He loved riding motorcycles from an early age.  He got started on his Dad's Honda Trail 90.  Through the years he owned several motorcycles, a white BMW, a pearlescent Honda; two Goldwings, one gold and the other gold and tan; a dark blue Kawasaki Vulcan;  and his last one was a beautiful black Honda Valkyrie.  He and his wife, Irene, enjoyed riding many miles together.

Lee also enjoyed riding his bicycle along the Pacific Ocean in Santa Cruz.  He rode a tandem in fund-raisers for research for cancer, M.S., and more.  He rode the tandem with Irene and her sister, Silvia.

He is survived by his wife, Irene of Plano, ID; siblings, Betty Jo Tatro of Oakhurst, CA, Bill (Marie) Parker of Kyle, TX, Connie (Richard) Parker of Lind, WA; son, Greg (Brenda) Parker of Ocala, Florida their daughters Rachel & Aubriana; daughter, Gina (Kurt) Bertilson of Meadow Vista, CA their sons Brett (Shannon) Bertilson of Lenoir City, TN and Travis (Stacey) Bertilson and their two daughters Ryleigh and Raegan of Roseville, CA; step-children, Tonja (Brad) Miles of Cameron, NY their son Jake, granddaughter Lucy of Cameron, NY; daughters Hannah (Rob) Cooper in Wellington, CO; and Kaitlyn (Darion) Keeton in Denver, CO; Josh Wood of Middleton, ID.
