It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Leonard Hagberg on Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Anthony, Idaho. Leonard was 89 years old. He was born to Leonard Hagberg and Betsy Siversen on December 27, 1930, in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Leonard married his first wife Betsy Kimber (Squire) and to this union, three children were born. They later divorced. He relocated to San Diego, California where he met Helen Burgos who had six children of her own. They married on July 24, 1971, in Pasco, Washington. Together they lived and traveled the Western States and Canada. Later they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple and settled in St. Anthony, Idaho.

Leonard is survived by his children; Steven Hagberg, Daniel Hagberg, Sandra Nienau, Nancy Droeger, Paul Ochoa, Ron Ochoa and Joe Ochoa. He has several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Helen in 2018, his parents, and other close family members.

Leonard will be laid to rest next to his wife Helen, Thursday, April 9th in the Rexburg Cemetery.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings and travel as well as self-isolation orders, no formal burial or funeral services will take place at this time. A memorial service/celebration of life will be held at a later date when deemed safe to do so.
