Lillian Laurel Isgreen Parkinson, 86, of Logan, Utah died Wednesday, August 24, 2011 of natural causes. She was born June 22, 1925 in Tooele, Utah to John E. and Laurel Lillian Bush Isgreen. She was raised there and graduated from Tooele High School.
She married Seth Maughan Parkinson on July 10, 1943 in Tooele. Seth was a coach and so they lived and worked in many different areas in Utah and Idaho. Seth died in November of 1973. She was married to Al Barackman for several years. They later divorced.
Lillian worked for 43 years as a bookkeeper, interior designer and in retail sales. While working she also kept and maintained a nice home for her family.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In the early years, she enjoyed attending the sporting events that Seth was involved with coaching. They also loved golfing together. She liked painting and doing crafts with her family. In her later years she was very involved with the people and activities at Sunshine Terrace. In her spare time she kept her mind active by solving word puzzles. She loved spending time with her family.
She struggled with many health problems, but she was always very positive and upbeat and put others needs before her own. She always looked for the good in others. She loved to help and serve others, especially her family. She will always be an inspiration to her family for her example.
She is survived by her daughter Kim (Kemp) Bott of Providence, Utah, stepdaughter Karen (Bill) Early of Portland, Oregon; 14 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Jan Price, four brothers, two sisters, a grandson and a granddaughter.
The family extends a special thank you to all the caregivers that have been so kind to Lillian through the years.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 27, at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg. The family will meet with friends Saturday from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Burial will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
