Linda Dean Stevens Thompson was born June 7,1947 in Los Gatos, California to Vonda Lee Landholm and Nathan H. Stevens. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She passed away peacefully on January 19, 2018 in St. George, Utah with her sweetheart by her side.
Linda attended school in Sugar City, Idaho. While in high school she met Wayne E. Thompson and they married on April 2, 1965 in Newdale, Idaho.
Linda worked as a homemaker and at Thompson's Service Station until it was closed in 1991. She then opened Party Rentals and enjoyed decorating weddings. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends camping, fishing, traveling and ATV riding. Wayne and Linda enjoyed vacationing to Beaver Dam Arizona during the winters.
Linda is survived by her husband Wayne E. Thompson and their children; Darin (Shanelle) Thompson, Tracy (Dan) Barney, Teri (Gary) McRae and Weston (Melanie) Thompson and Linda's brothers; Jimmy (Renae) Stevens, David Stevens and Billy Stevens along with 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Vonda Lee Landholm and Nathan H. Stevens.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at the Burton West LDS church (3958 West 2000 South). The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Thursday, prior to services, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale cemetery.
