Lisa Azell Ochoa Wheatley, 31 of Rexburg, died March 23, 2018 in Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from a lingering illness. She was born March 10, 1987 in Rexburg, Idaho to Joseph Mark Ochoa and Azell Dilmore Jacobson. Lisa attended Lincoln Elementary School, Madison Jr. High School, Madison High School, Central High School, and Career Beauty College where she earned her cosmetology cedrtificate. She married Keven Wheatley on April 15, 2013 in Rigby, Idaho.

She has lived in Rexburg and Idaho Falls and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lisa enjoyed being around her husband Keven and her son Wyatt. She also enjoyed camping, fishing, sewing and being a homemaker. She especially loved cooking and trying new recipes for her family.

Lisa is survived by her husband Keven Wheatley and son Wyatt Evan Wheatley both of Rexburg, her father, Joseph Mark Ochoa of Victor and her mother Azell (Eric) Jacobson of Rexburg, a sister Ashley (Seth) Thueson of Idaho Falls, brothers; Andrew Ochoa of Portland, Oregon and Michael Ochoa of Rexburg, grandmother Helen Dilmore of Honeyville, Utah and grandfather Leonard Hagberg of Rexburg and her mother-in-law Shirley Barker of Idaho Falls.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother Helen Hagberg and her father-in-law Bruce Barker.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at the Park Street LDS Chapel, with in Rexburg, with Bishop Shane Cole officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home and from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church on Tuesday prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
