Obituary

Lois Anne Taylor Sharp, 84, of Rexburg, passed away on December 26, 2012 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of natural causes. She was born November 17, 1928, in Sunnydell, Idaho, the fifth child of John Henry and Hazel Mattson Taylor.

She attended grade school in Sunnydell and graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg. She loved living on the family farm.

She married William "Bill" Martell Sharp on June 20, 1947 at Dillon, Montana. Their marriage was solemnized on August 3, 1965, in the Idaho Falls Temple. They raised four children; Linda, Richard, Perry and Demar.

She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a Cub Scout leader. While her son, Richard, was on his mission in Alaska, she worked in a laundry to help support him. She also worked as a custodian for the LDS Church.

Lois loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her sister Neta, they talked with each other on the phone nearly everyday. She enjoyed growing plants in her home.

She is survived by her children; Linda (Brent) Dye of Idaho Falls, Perry (Carol) Sharp of Grant, Demar (Rosemarie) Sharp of Rexburg; a daughter-in-law Susan Sharp of Rexburg; 13 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill; brothers Donnel, Raymond, Byron and Lorin Taylor; a sister Neta Miller; and a son Richard Martell Sharp.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, at Flamm Funeral Home, 61 North 1st East, in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Monday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
