Ella Lora Hadlock Holman, 97, of Rexburg, was called home Sunday, April 21, 2013.

She was born January 14, 1916 in Vernal, Utah to Elial Durfee and Ella Norton Hadlock. Growing up in the depression era her family had to move several times necessitating her attending many different schools. She graduated from Sugar-Salem High School where she met her husband Norm, the love of her life, who she later married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

After her graduation in 1934 she entered Nurses' Training at the Idaho Falls Idaho LDS Hospital. She graduated in 1937 and worked as a Registered Nurse for over fifty years bringing comfort and care to countless people.

In their later years, she and her husband were the caretakers a the Rexburg Boat Club, their heaven on earth for twenty years.

Her sixteen grandchildren and thirty one great grandchildren loved to visit her because of her caring ways that made everyone feel loved and special.

She is survived by her children, Brent (Martha Ann) Holman of Hood River, Oregon, Bob (Sandy) Holman of Fillmore, Utah, JoAnn (Steve) Day of Salt Lake City, Utah, Janet (Paul) Beesley of Rexburg, Idaho and Rohn Holman of Rexburg, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman and sweet daughter, Shauna.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 25th, at the Cresthaven LDS Chapel, 1070 S. 2nd E, Rexburg, with President Bruce Dye officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sugar City Cemetery.
