Lorna Harrop Barney peacefully passed away Tuesday, June 30th in her home surrounded by family.
She was born January 11, 1958 the youngest child of Thomas Gordon and Beatrice Harrop.
She spent her life in the Rexburg area.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints she loved her time spent serving in the primary and cub scouts.
Family is her everything. She loved following her children and grandchildren to all of their many activities. You could always find her with her crochet hook and a bag of yarn working on her next project.
She loved camping trips, fishing, razor ridding, and spending time snuggling with her two doodles, Nanee and Goat and watching her husband work with his two draft horses Katie and Ashley.
She loved any and all family get togethers.
In March Lorna and her husband Doug were able to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her eternal sweet heart Douglas Barney of Rexburg, her children; Amber (Ryan) Mangum of Pingree, Idaho, Damion (Kim) Barney of St. Anthony, Idaho, Dallen (Jana) Barney of Annis, Idaho, and Devin (Erika) Barney of Pingree, Idaho, as well as 17 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a whole bunch of bonus grandkids. She is also survived by her three brothers; René (Bonnie) Harrop, Gordan (Ruth) Harrop, and Thomas Harrop.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordan and Beatrice Harrop, her sister Carolyn Harrop. Her baby girl, Kimberlie Barney and her grandson Preston Barney and her childhood best friend, Tammy Mckague.
As a family we want to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone from Homehealth and Hospice.
