Obituary

LuAnn Dewey Webster, age 61, a loving wife, mom, sister, friend, aunt, cousin, left this world peacefully to return back to our Father in Heaven on Saturday, September 12, 2015. She had a fast battle with squamous cancer. She was surrounded by her family at their home in Rexburg, Idaho.

LuAnn was born on September 30, 1953 in Chapin, Idaho to Treva Dorraine Hill and James "Jim" Wesley Dewey Sr. She grew up in Chapin, Idaho where she was raised on a family ranch. After graduating from Teton High School in 1971, she went on to Ricks College and graduated with a Secretarial Associate degree. She used this skill on the Ricks College Campus.

LuAnn met the love of her life, Milton Lee Webster from Sugar City, in the fall of 1974 and they were married on June 7, 1975 in the Idaho Falls Temple for time and all eternity. They have resided in the same home since the fall of 1977. They have been married over 40 years.

LuAnn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She has held many church callings such as primary teacher, primary chorister, compassionate Service Leader, the ward bulletin specialist, the Relief Society newsletter Specialist. She is a visiting teacher with her best friend Lynda for many years.

She enjoyed being with family and friends and really enjoyed her six grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling with her husband in the earlier part of their lives together. She was a faithful temple worker in the Idaho Falls and Rexburg temples. She was an avid reader. She Loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. She loved to bake, cook, sew, cross stitched, crochet and tatting. She had a passion for Family History and Genealogy and she also loved to can and was preparing for the canning season when she became ill.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years Milt Webster of Rexburg, Idaho, her daughters Desire'e (Carl) Shively of Terreton, Idaho and their children Kelty, Kassy and Christopher, Michelle (Tom) King of Driggs, Idaho, Selina Thomas of Riverside, Utah and her children Shon,Savannah and Stetsen, Tabitha McCoy of Rexburg and a son Joseph (fiancee Chelsea) Webster all of Rexburg, Idaho, her sister Glenda Jo (Bart) Webster and, brother James (Valerie) Dewey all of Chapin, Idaho.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Treva and James Dewey.

LuAnn was a friend to whomever walked through her door.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 19th at the Rexburg North Stake Center located at 314 East 2nd North. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the stake Center and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
