Lucille Magdalena Abegglen Palmer, 97, of Egin died Friday, February 24, 2012 at her home of causes incident to age.
Lucille was born September 4, 1914 in Wilford, Idaho to Laurence Edward and Lucy Jane Hubbard Abegglen. Her mother died when she was nine months old and she was cared for by her father's aunt and uncle until she was nine years old. When her aunt passed away Lucille went to live with her grandmother Abegglen.
She went to school in Wilford and Sugar City and then graduated from the LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah. After business college she worked at J.C. Penneys in St. Anthony as a bookkeeper. She also served a Deputy Treasurer and Treasurer for Fremont County.
Lucille met and married Lowell Cleone Palmer on November 26, 1948. Their marriage was solemnized on February 17, 1961 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Egin. Lucille was the organist for many years in the Egin Bench Ward.
She is survived by her son Terry (Carolena) Palmer of Egin; 2 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a brother, Ivan Abegglen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers and 1 great granddaughter.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony.) Graveside services will be held Wednesday February 29, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Parker Cemetery. The family suggests donations be sent to Primary Children's Hospital.
