Just eleven days short of her 101st birthday, LuDean Marie Anderson Grover passed away peacefully in her home in Archer on June 4, 2015. She was the fifth child of Andrew Christian Anderson and Maria Jensen Anderson of Independence. She was born June 15,1914. Her father died when she was two so she was raised by her mother on a small farm in Independence.
She attended Union Elementary, Madison High School and Ricks College. In 1937 she married Russell Grover in the Salt Lake City LDS temple. They made their home in Archer and remained there most of their lives. They farmed for over fifty years on the Rexburg Bench.
LuDean was a rather quiet, shy person who could always be found behind the scenes helping family, neighbors and friends. She served in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She always took pride in a bountiful vegetable garden, a beautiful flower garden and well kept yard.
She is survived by her five children; Tereece Olsen of Twin Falls, Blair (Jodi) Grover of Ririe, Leila Gould of Mesa, Arizona, Minon (Emmett) Triplett of Seattle and Nancy (Bruce) Perkins of Overton, Nevada, 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Grover, her parents, brothers and sisters and two sons-in-law Bill Olsen and Harry Gould. She was the last family member of her generation.
Mom, we love you and will try to honor your memory.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Archer LDS church (201 West 8000 South) where the family will receive friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
