IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyle Craig
Falkner
March 1, 1995 – July 2, 2023
Lyle Craig Falkner, 28, was born March 1, 1995 in Provo, UT. He grew up in the Dallas, TX area, attending Universal Academy. He served a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Missouri and then in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He moved to Rexburg, ID to attend BYUI. There he met his wife Jasmine Flores and was married November 30, 2017. They bought a home together in Blackfoot, ID.
Lyle was always a hard worker and earned his Eagle Scout. He would often spend his own time and money to help those in need in his school; he had an inner quality to notice those who struggle and felt deep compassion to help. In his youth he helped disabled neighbors with chores for years without pay. He was incredibly smart, funny, playful and inquisitive about life. His smile was a charm and would turn and difficult stressful situation into a positive outcome. Keep smiling Lyle!!
Lyle was an avid music lover of many genres. He played the bass guitar for the Howls and spent every weekend he could at a concert.
Lyle and Jasmine were deeply in love. They built a life together full of making friends, playing games, exploring the outdoors, creating an amazing garden, and fixing their house up into a home. Lyle dreamed of starting his own business and farm. He wanted to supply others with healthy and sustainable food.
Lyle passed away too early to have a long legacy, but during his short life he impacted the lives of those he came in contact with. Since his death, we have talked to those that he has touched, both socially, and at work. The first sentence we hear is that they loved Lyle.
Both Lyle and Jasmine passed away in a rafting accident. Lyle's final act of service was to jump in the waters trying to save his one true love. She seemed safe, so he went to save another, and lost his life helping.
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 5:13
Lyle is survived by his parents, Craig and Eugenia Falkner, and his sister, Leila Dickman.
