IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lyndsey Miller
Kunz
August 24, 1981 – March 31, 2022
On March 31, 2022, after a brave, six-year battle with stage 4 colon cancer, Lyndsey Kunz (40), of Victor, Idaho, passed away in her home surrounded by family.
Lyndsey was born to Lee and Cindy Miller of St. Anthony, Idaho on Aug. 24, 1981. She was a happy, easy-going baby. The family lived in a small farmhouse on the family farm in Parker. When she was 4-years-old, they moved into St. Anthony.
Growing up, she easily made friends. Even at a young age it was very important to Lyndsey to be a good friend to those around her. She attended South Fremont High where she participated in many extracurricular activities. She found a special love for cross-country running. Lyndsey graduated from high school in 1999.
She attended Rick's College where she met and fell in love with Cole Kunz. They were married
on Sept. 16, 2000. The couple transferred to Boise State University. Lyndsey studied photo journalism. Together, she and Cole graduated with their bachelor's degrees in May 2003.
They had a wonderful marriage and shared a great love with one another. They have four beautiful children whom they hold close to their hearts, Sayler (20), Wade (17), Rhett (13) and Augustus (9). Lyndsey's best friend was Cole, and they enjoyed many of the same activities. She loved the outdoors and was always up for any adventure. In 2020, during the midst of her cancer battle Lyndsey summited the Grand Teton, which is an exact reference of her character. Lyndsey always put others before herself. When she wasn't running marathons or waking up at 4 a.m. to exercise, you could find her serving others or trying to make someone else's day easier. She had the ability to make those around her feel special. Lyndsey was such a joy to be around and was so excited for the success of people that she loved. To describe Lyndsey Kunz in the simplest terms is that she was selfless, tough and kind.
Even though she spent the last years of her life in pain that would be unbearable to most people, Lyndsey never complained. She never gave up. Even in her last months, she put everyone before herself. Lyndsey was an unwavering light to her family and taught them through words and example how to live a life full of happiness and love. Words will never express how much she is missed. Her positive impact on so many ensures we will always remember who she was — tough as they come and as kind as can be. We all feel thankful that she blessed our lives as long as she could.
We miss you greatly, however, we are so happy you can be at peace without pain. You will forever be in our hearts as we strive to "Live Like Lyndsey." Until we meet again, we love you, goodbye for now.
Lyndsey is survived by her husband Cole and her four children, her son-in-law, James Ellis, and brothers, Zak Miller, Rick Miller, sister Paige Nelson. She is preceded in death by her sister, Emily Miller.
