James Lynn Christensen (Jim, Lynn, Pappy or Chris) was born in St. Anthony, Idaho
June 7, 1945 to Marvin Reginald and Espy Ellis Christensen. He died Monday, November 25, 2013 at his home surrounded by family.
Lynn Joined the army national guard in 1963 and served our country until 1968.
On March 30, 1965 he married Ivie Marie Wright in St. Anthony. In 1968 they and their daughter Cassie Lynn moved to Washington state to find work. Lynn hired on with Weyerhaeuser Logging Co. where he worked for 33 years, most of which he drove log truck. To him life out doors was his greatest adventure.
Aside from loving his job Lynn was a Harley Davidson enthusiast. He owned several bikes in his life time and rode alone or with buddies as often as possible. He also enjoyed collecting, buying, selling and trading cars, guns, knives, models, watches and coins, hunting and fishing spending time with friends and family and traveling.
Lynn was a family man. He dad 2 daughters Cassie Lynn who went home way to soon and Sabrina as well as 3 children from a former marriage, Suzy, Philip and Jim.
In 2001 Lynn and his wife Ivie moved back to St. Anthony, Idaho when Lynn retired from Weyerhaeuser Logging Co.
He is survived by his wife Ivie of St. Anthony, ID; Children, Sabrina Marie (Jeffrey Scott) Perrin of Elma, WA; Sue (Bill) Hermans and Philip Christensen of Wasilla, AK; and James Hartman (Kizzy Johnson) of St. Anthony, ID; 12 grandchildren and 2 Great grandchildren; a brother, Ellis (Barb) Christensen of Rexburg, ID. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Parents, a sister Carla Williams, his daughter, Cassie Lynn Christensen and his former wife.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 29, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St. Anthony). The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
