Lyrin "Pete" Munns, 83, of Rexburg, passed away April 26, 2015, at his home with his loving wife and children by his side. They were assisted in his tender care by Solace Hospice.

Pete was born November 13, 1931, to Arthur James and Janet Clements Munns. He was the third of seven children.

He attended school at Lyman Elementary and graduated from Madison High School. He also attended Ricks College.

After serving in the US Army for two years, he married the love of his life, Bonnie Jean Neville, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They enjoyed 62 ½ years together. They farmed and ranched and spent their summers in Kilgore, which was their favorite place on earth.

Pete and Bonnie had four children, two sons and two daughters, who loved and respected them very much as did their spouses, the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. We, as his family, will always be grateful for the legacy he left.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Rexburg; children, Don (Florence) Munns of Rexburg, Joy (Max) Angell of St. Anthony, Lee (Ronda) Munns and Kelly (Jim) Stoddard of Rexburg; brothers, Delas (Elna) Munns, Merlin "Jim" (Marie) Munns, Lynn (Mary) Munns, Keith (Ruth) Munns; 26 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harry Munns, a sister Janet Ann Hansen, brother-in-law Calvin Hansen and sister-in-law Elaine Munns.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 30, at the Stonebridge LDS Chapel, with Bishop Dan Hanna officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
