Obituary

Machelle Platts
Machelle Stephanie Platts, 42 of St. Anthony, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Ashton Nursing Center after a short illness.
She was born September 4, 1967 in Ogden, Utah to Larry James and Sharon Ruth Peterson Clark. She attended Ogden schools, graduating from Ben Lomond High in 1985. She also graduated from Weber State University in 1989.
She married Mikal Martin September 22, 1989. They were later divorced.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was an extremely talented seamstress and shared her talents with those around her. She was a very beloved wife, mother and friend, who was always surrounded with love. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family outdoors.
She had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed playing jokes with others. She loved playing with her beloved grandsons, watching them grow and teaching them the importance of chocolate and laughter. She was always involved in her children's lives and supporting their endeavors.
Her life was enlightened and changed when she met and married Phillip Platts February 15, 1997, as she put it, she found "the man of her dreams."
Although she is not here on earth to light up our days, she will be our guardian angel for those of us left behind. She will ensure the lessons she taught will be put to good use. She will never be forgotten and remembered with the utmost love and respect. We love you mom.
She is survived by her husband Phillip of St. Anthony, ID; children, Elizabeth (Milton) Beasley of Blackfoot, ID; Jake Martin of Twin Falls, ID; Tyler Phillip Platts of St. Anthony, ID; Shane Platts Guymon and Jacob Platts Guymon both of Logan, UT; mother, Sharon Tracy-Lowe of Roy, UT; brothers Kevin Clark of Kaysville, UT and Jeff Clark of Utah; 2 grandsons, Billy Beasley and Ted Beasley.
