Mandell Clint Beattie, 33, of Rexburg, died Thursday, March 8, 2012. He was born March 23, 1978 in Rexburg to Morgan William and Linda Siepert Beattie. He attended schools in Madison county. He earned his GED at age 22.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He was a master craftsman and built many beautiful things out of wood. He was a perfectionist finish carpenter.
He married Carolyn Hibbert on February 24, 1996. They had five children. They later divorced. His biggest joy in life was his children. He was a very good dad.
Roller skating was a great passion. He ran "R" Skating for several years. He became a professional-rate skater.
He collected Zippo lighters and guns. He was a cowboy at heart.
He is survived by his parents Morgan and Linda Beattie of Rexburg, children, Taylor Morgan Beattie, Talon Chase Beattie, KayLee Diane Beattie, Kory Theone Beattie, Dakoda Clint Beattie all of Rexburg; siblings Marty Brent (Tawnya) Beattie of Riverton, UT, Matt Darren (Carolyn) Beattie of Oak Ridge, TN, Morrell Kay (Renee) of Ammon, Misty Lin (Joel) Hansen of Rexburg; grandmother Lenna Siepert of Rexburg. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Ray Siepert, Theone and Thelma Beattie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 12 at the Burton LDS Chapel, with Bishop Chris Lowery officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Monday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Burial will be in the Burton Cemetery.
