Obituary

Maria Maricela "Marcy" Astorga-Chavez, 33 of Taylorsville, Utah, formerly of Parker, Idaho, died August 7, 2015 in Colorado.

Marcy was born on August 17, 1982 to Elvira Nunez and Domingo Astorga in Watsonville California. From California they relocated to Idaho where she lived most of her childhood. She moved to Salt Lake City where she was married and had one beautiful boy named Jonathan and later divorced. She then married Jaime Chavez and had two beautiful boys, Jimmy and Bryan Chavez.

Marcy was involved in many family activities. She loved to play volley-ball, she loved to go dancing with her husband. She also love music and spending time with her family. She loved to spoil her parents, and her cup of ice with coke and you wouldn't see her anywhere without it. She was also very loving to her family and friends always trying to make everyone laugh.

She is survived by her husband, Jaime, children Jonathan, Jimmy and Bryan; Parents, Domingo and Elvira Astorga; 8 brothers and 3 sisters which she loved dearly, they are Jose, Guadalupe, Lasaro, Marta, Brenda, Efrain, Sergio, Francisco, Jessica, Jorge, and Domingo. and all her nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, August, 26, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in the Mary Immaculate Catholic Church. There will be a Vigil on Tuesday, at 5:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (580 E. 1st N., St. Anthony) and that will be followed by shared memories until the receiving of friends and family at 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. The family will also receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary on Wednesday. Burial bill be in the Parker Cemetery.
