Maria Lorenza passed peacefully from this life, in the comfort of her home on December 29, 2023, at the age of 68.

Maria was born November 20, 1955 in Rio Grande Zacatecas Mexico to Maria Luisa bautista and Manuel Esquivel. She moved to Teton, Idaho in 1972 and moved to Rexburg, Idaho in 1997.

Maria was the 3rd oldest of her siblings. She had a passion for plants, collectibles, and jewelry. She loved her grandkids and great-grandkids more than anything in the world. She was always warm and inviting to anyone in the home. She always had a passion for the kitchen. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner being her favorite.

Maria retired from Basic American Foods in 2020 after 42 hard worked years. She continued to work for Madison School district as she said "it's my hobby." She was still employed at the School district at the time of her death.

She raised her 4 children on her own. Family was everything to her. Maria ws the one to give the shirt off her back to help others. She was always a very hard working woman, always providing for all those she loved and cared about. She was the most resilient and commpassionate lady there was. She battled stage 4 breast cancer in 2012 and fought until she won. She was in remission at the time of her passing.

She is survived by her children, Andy Lopez, Jesus (Linda) Lopez, Francisco Lopez and Maria Lopez; 15 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Pedro Esquivel (Maria Juana Bautista), Juan Manuel Esquivel (Lorenza Lares), Maria Luisa Esquivel, Maria Del Socorro (Manuel Mendez), Hilda Maria Esquivel (Carlos Gilardo Rodriguez.) She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Luisa Bautista; her father, Manuel Esquivel; brother, Francisco Esquivel; sisters, Maria Del Carmen Esquivel; Maria Del Rosario Esquivel; brothers-in-law Teoduio Marin and Samuel Hernandez.
