Maria De Los Reyes, 97, of Rexburg, died Friday, September 2, 2016 in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born May 15, 1919 in Jimenez, Tamaulipas, Mexico to Lupe and Teresa Rivera.

She married Jose Angel De Los Reyes on October 5, 1949 in Jimenez, Mexico. They had three children, Jose, Dominga and Guadalupe.

She loved taking care of people and was a nurse in her small town of Jimenez. Jose and Maria moved to Texas in 1963 and later to Teton, Idaho in 1970.

She is survived by her children; Jose Angel (Debbie) De Los Reyes Jr. of Pocatello, Idaho, Dominga (Victor Sr.) Mendoza of Rexburg, Idaho, Guadalupe (Ramon) Reyes of Blackfoot, Idaho as well as 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Hilda Rivera, Jose Rivera and Edelmira Landin all of Tamaulipas, Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her siblings; Rosa Delgado, Esperanza Delgado, Carlota Gonzalez, Lupe Rivera, Ramiro Rivera, Ana Hernandez, Celia Rivera and Gaspar Rivera as well as two great grandchildren Angel De Los Reyes and Jordana Reyes.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 8th at Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in St. Anthony. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and again from 10:00 to 10:45a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Teton-Newdale Cemetery.
