Marie Brown Momberger, 91, of Hamer, Id. slipped away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018 while residing at the Homestead Assisted Living facility, in Rexburg Id.

Marie was born in Hibbard, Idaho on September 10, 1926. She was the only daughter, with 4 older brothers, born to William Alfred and Olive Martha Rigby Saurey.

Marie grew up in the Rexburg area, where she graduated and later gained an Associates Degree from the Ricks College.

On May 7, 1947, Marie married Sidney Earl Brown of Hamer, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Rosalee & Sid were born from this union. Her husband Sid was suddenly killed in a truck wreck in 1950. Marie was fortunate to meet and marry Jesse Carl Momberger on May 9, 1952.

Marie was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with the grandchildren and family. She and Jess loved spending time on the Hamer Ranch where they enjoyed time chasing cows and watering.

Marie was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She loved and enjoyed her time with her loving church ladies in her later days.

Marie is survived by her children Rosalee (Dennis) Griffeth of Idaho Falls Id and Sid (Jan) Brown of Hamer Id., Stepchildren, Craig Momberger of Phoenix AZ and Diane Ross of Phoenix, AZ, 10 Grandchildren , 35 great grandchildren.

She is proceded in death by both her parents, both husbands, and 4 brothers, Norman, Seth, Spencer and Keith Saurey and 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 22nd at the Hamer LDS Chapel. The family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Fielding Memorial Cemetery.
