Marilyn Hathaway 83, of St Antony passed away Saturday December 21, 2019 at her home.
Marilyn was born April 22, 1936 in Twin Groves to Lorin and Zelda Eilza Meikle; she was the 3rd of 4 daughters that would make up the Meikle family. Together these four sisters would be friends and lifelong companions.
She grew up and attended school in St Anthony where she met her best friend and eternal companion Laurel William (Punk) Hathaway. Punk and Marilyn were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on July 11, 1958. They were blessed with a son, Todd and a daughter Tana. She was also a second mom to many cousins, relatives and her kid's friends.
Marilyn was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints where she served in the Young Women's and Relief Society. She particular loved her calling as the Compassionate Service Leader as it was her nature to help others in their time of need.
She loved to go camping and fishing with her her family, teach her nieces how to sew and crochet, garden and tending to her flowers; but she especially loved going on adventures with the beloved Grandkids Sheena, Ashley, Kellen, Taylor, Tyler, Kearston and Cooper.
Marilyn was survived by her children Todd Hathaway of St Antony and Tana Barney (Alan Clark) of Idaho Falls, she was preceded in death by her husband Punk, parents and sisters Joyce Davis, Janice Hammond and Dee Ann Meikle.
Funeral services will be held in the St Anthony Stake Center on Friday December 27th at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary .
