Her surviving siblings are Fay Dansie, Wanda Lue Belnap, Nelda Kershaw, Myron Evans and Paul Evans.

She married Lynn Charles Nelson in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on June 19, 1946. They were blessed with seven children: Lynda Marjorie Nelson of South Jordan, Utah; Marsha Ann (David) Noyes of Preston, Idaho; Ruth (Richard) Cannon of Bountiful, Utah; Donna (Dan) Rowley of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Sara LaRee (Aldon) Brinton of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Lynn Charles Jr. (Jana) Nelson of Archer, Idaho; and Beverly (Keith) Johnson of Menan, Idaho. She enjoyed and doted on 30 grandchildren and 60 great-grandchildren. Her loving husband passed away in 1993 after a long illness.

Marjorie was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family. She was famous for lemon meringue pie and brown sugar frosting on a busy-day cake. She kept a large garden and taught her daughters and many of her granddaughters how to cook and preserve. She missed preparing family dinners in her later years.

Crocheting and sewing were her favorite talents. Each of her children received beautifully-crafted quilts and doilies even into her later years despite her failing eyesight. As a gifted, life-long teacher, she influenced many as an elementary school teacher and through the Title I Program.

Marjorie was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed many avenues of service in the LDS church throughout her life including music, ward leadership, and temple service. She especially loved teaching primary songs to children. After her husband passed away, she served a proselyting mission for the church in Carlesbad, California.

Marjorie adored babies. Every child, grandchild, and great-grandchild was joyfully received, cooed at, snuggled, sung to, bathed, and changed with the utmost love and adoration.

Many heartfelt thanks go out to all who showed love and care to Marjorie. The family is deeply grateful to the incredible and compassionate people, care facilities, and programs who were devoted to her excellent care. Many people served her in the form of meals, phone calls, visits, and much, much more.
