Dr. Mark Eldon Long went home peacefully on January 30th surrounded by his family. Mark was born June 11, 1960 to Verl and Audrey Long in Rexburg Idaho the youngest of five children.
Mark loved his country and served honorably in the National Guard.
He met the love of his life Laurie Rich at Ricks College on the Ballroom dance team. They were married on December 19, 1980.
He coached little league baseball and women's soft ball for his community. He was an avid golfer, and outdoor enthusiast.
Mark supported the community at the Long Health Center as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine for 31 years touching lives and helping a countless number of people.
Mark is survived by his spouse Laurie Rich Long and children Jessica (Bryan) Robbins, Marcine
(Troy) Purser, Mark Cody (Emma) Long, Colten (Cassie) Long, Tristan (Reef) Brague well as his 10 wonderful grand children and his father Verl P. Long and his siblings Verl T Long, Margaretta Spencer and Karin Traughber. Mark joins his mother Audrey Long, his sister Suzanne Saling, and daughter Jaymi Long returning to our Heavenly Father.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 11:00 in the St. Anthony, 3rd Ward LDS chapel. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N.) and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.
