Marla Kaye Moreland, 59, of Rexburg, died Sunday, March 22, 2015, at her home after a short illness. She was born August 8, 1955, in Pocatello, Idaho to Gary and Myrna Duncan.
She attended schools in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School.
She married John David Moreland on November 12, 1988, in Elko, Nevada.
She served on the board for the United Way and on the board of directors for Foster Grandparents of Southeast Idaho. She worked as an administrative secretary for the Department of Health and Welfare in Pocatello and later for the Department of Juvenile Corrections in St. Anthony.
She resided in Rexburg with her husband of 27 years, John Moreland.
She is survived by her husband John; siblings, Wendy (Ron) Hellstern, Kym (Bill) Branson and a sister-in-law Cheryl Duncan.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Shannon Duncan and a brother Gary Duncan.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March, 28, at the Rexburg 19th Ward LDS Chapel, 2332 West 2000 South. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. at the church prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg.
