Marlene Ruth Terry Price returned to her father's presence on July 30, 2018.

Marlene was born to John and Hermina Baumgartner Terry in Thornton, Idaho at the home of her Grandmother Baumgartner. Her younger years were influenced greatly by her Grandmother Baumgartner's Swiss heritage. When Marlene was 3 years old during the great depression her family moved to Westwood, California to find work in the lumber industry. In 1944 they returned to Rexburg, Idaho.

Marlene was a beautiful young woman who attended Madison High School where she participated in a beauty pageant, Pepper Cheer Club, and choir. When she was a junior in high school she attended a state music contest in Twin Falls, Idaho. It was there that this beautiful young woman caught the eye of her future husband James W. Price of Driggs, Idaho. On August 27, 1952, Marlene married the love of her life James Price in the Idaho Falls Temple. Their love and dedication to each other throughout their 67 years of marriage was a great example to all who had the pleasure of associating with them. After marriage, they moved to Moscow, Idaho where James graduated from the University of Idaho and played basketball while Marlene worked at JC Penney. They then moved to Cheyenne, Wyoming where James served his US Air Force commission at Warren Air Force base and then completed his service in Hutchinson, Kansas. This is where their 1st son Layne was born.

In 1956, they moved to Driggs, Idaho where they made their lifelong home. This is where the rest of her children were born. Marlene was a talented, elect lady who cooked, sewed and kept an immaculate home and garden where everyone was welcome. She also worked at Price Mercantile for many years. She and James loved to travel and loved going to their children's and grandchildren's sporting and achieving events. They rarely missed any. We all knew that they would always show up to whatever event was going on regardless of the travel distance rain or snow. Their most enjoyable time was spent with their friends and family.

Her greatest qualities were love, patience and kindness especially the charity and love she showed to each of her children, grandchildren and husband. She was a faithful member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she served in many callings including Relief Society President, and the primary. They served for many years as temple workers at the Idaho Falls and Rexburg temples. Together they were called to the Dallas Texas Temple Mission. They loved the temple and treasured their time and service.

Marlene is survived by her husband and children Layne (Cindy) Twin Falls Idaho, Jim (Viki) Layton, Utah, Terry Bergeson (Larry) St. George, Utah, Karen Potter (David) Idaho Falls, Idaho. 16 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. Brothers Clayton Terry, Brent Terry and Sister Debra Leatham. She has been reunited with her parents John and Hermina Terry, two infant children and granddaughter Jennifer Price.

She has also been reunited with her father in heaven whom we are assured will be pleased to say unto her "Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter into the joy of the Lord."

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday August 4th at the Driggs LDS Stake Center , 221 N. 100 E. with Bishop Mitch Blake of the Driggs LDS 3rd Ward officiating. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Friday August 3rd and Saturday prior to the service from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. Interment will be in the Cache Clawson Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
