Our beloved Mary Sessions Jensen, age 83, passed from this world on Sunday, January 24, 2021, surrounded by her children. Born in Syracuse, Utah on Christmas Eve of 1937, the 9th child of Elmer and May Sessions, she was a spunky vibrant child and self proclaimed tomboy who could run faster, hit harder, and jump higher, but also charm the hearts of everyone she met.

She married Walter Barton in 1956, and began the most important part of her life's work, rearing 9 children. A major part of raising her children was teaching them to work alongside her on their dairy farm for 18 years followed by a move to a cattle ranch in Idaho for 10 years.

Marrying Harley Jensen in 1991, began a new chapter for her as she embraced a lifelong dream of owning a health food store. She loved spending time serving as a temple worker (28 years), visiting her 73 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren, traveling the world (she has been to all seven continents), but mostly helping others find health and happiness. Mary loved her Heavenly Father and Savior and showed that love every day of her life as a mother and grandmother, not only to her own children, but to countless others. Grandma Mary was always someone to think of others before herself and will be remembered for the selfless love and compassion she continually showed to everyone around her.

In lieu of flowers she requests you donate to the general mission fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or donate to the mission fund of her many grandchildren currently serving by contacting Rick or Treon Barton at Nature's Nook.

Funeral services will be held in Rexburg, ID Friday, January 29th at 3:30 for family only. Graveside services will be in Syracuse, UT on Saturday, January 30th.
