MaryAnn Parkinson, 58, died peacefully on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at her home in Rexburg surrounded by her family.
She was born June 23,1957 in Rigby, Idaho to William Robert and Pearl Irene Bates. She graduated from Madison High School in 1976. She was married to Neil J. Rowe for twenty-five years and they raised two children together and then divorced. She later married Kelly Virgin Parkinson and they had twelve happy years together including working in their livestock business called KMP Pork Products. She loved raising little animals.
She worked at Kennedy and Madison Middle Schools in food preparation for twenty-eight years. She also worked for sixteen years as a school crossing guard. She loved to do crafts and decorate her home. She also loved to garden and grow flowers and was very thoughtful, energetic and hardworking and very generous to others. She will truly missed by her family, friends and co-workers.
MaryAnn is survived by her husband Kelly V. Parkinson of Rexburg and her children; Russell William (Kathy) Rowe of Ucon and Dana Irene (James) Webb of Idaho Falls and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Paul (Judy) Bates of Yakima, Washington and Billy Bates of Boise, Idaho and a sister-in-law, Sharon Bates of Rigby.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Robert and Sammy Bates, and a grandson, Alexander Guilford Webb.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the Evergreen LDS Ward Chapel (700 Park Street) in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Friday December 18th from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and again at the church on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Annis Cemetery.
