Mathew Robert Travao III, 66 of Rexburg passed away June 5, 2018. He was born February 29, 1952 in Merced California to Mathew and Catherine Travao.

He grew up in Modesto California where he graduated from Modesto High School. After high school he attended Modesto Jr. College where he studied to be a certified electrician.

He married Click Calmes in Medesto on July 10, 1976 together they had two children. They later divorced. He married Barbara Hoover in Reno, Nevada on November 11, 2010.

He spent most of his working career as a butcher. A few years after retirement he moved to Idaho.

As a lifetime member of the NRA he enjoyed hunting and trap shooting. He especially enjoyed deer hunting and was planning on the next hunt before his current hunt was finished. He was developing a loving for fishing after having finally caught his first fish. He was proud of his yard and enjoyed taking care of it. He also started gardening and was constantly trying new methods. He was always willing to share what he grew.

He was a member of the Catholic Church and attended Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in St. Anthony.

He is survived by his wife Barbara and his children; Mathew and Jessica. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held in Newman California. Interment will be in the Hills Ferry Cemetery.
