Maurine Angell, 93 of St. Anthony, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022 at home surrounded by her family.

Maurine was born on February 9, 1928, in Rexburg, Idaho to Joseph Henry Ball and Ina Thomson. She attended elementary and secondary school in Sugar Salem, Idaho. After graduating high school, in 1946, Maurine attended Ricks College where she obtained an associate degree in education with a provisional life-time teaching certificate.

She married Aaron Williams Angell on November 3, 1948 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She served many positions in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Her favorite callings were 11 year-old scouts and serving in the Young Women's program. Aaron and Maurine served as stake missionaries and temple workers in the Idaho Falls temple.

Maurine loved raising her seven children and in her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, working with herbs, painting, sewing and quilting.

She is survived by her husband Aaron of St. Anthony; children, David William (Dina) Angell of Rexburg, ID; Bryce Del (Terri) Angell of Island Park, ID; Shane Daniel (Royelia) Angell of St. Anthony, ID; Jon Micah Angell of St. Anthony, ID; Larry Jim (Lorena) Angell of Washougal, WA; and Taunalee (Jeryl) Fluckiger of Pinedale, WY; 3 sisters, Joyce (Grant) Saurey of Rexburg, ID; Donna (Mel) Eckman of Rexburg, ID; and Marcia (Albert) Beezer of Providence, UT; 1 brother, Val (Lucy) Ball of Rexburg, ID; 28 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Julie Angell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Anthony Stake Center. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. and again Saterday from 1:00 until 1:45 p.m. both times at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery under the direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary.
