Michelle Kay Siepert, formerly of Rexburg, passed away at the age of 48, in her sleep, on Dec 7, 2013, at her home in Wasilla, Alaska.
Michelle was born May 7, 1965 in Rexburg, Idaho to Vernon K Siepert and Karen Kay Purrington Siepert.
She grew up in Rexburg where she attended elementary school, Grace Christian School and graduated from Madison High School in 1983. She attempted one year at Utah State and decided college was not for her. She returned to graduate from Vogue beauty school in Idaho Falls.
At the age of 14, she became an "official" employee of her grandfather Bob Purrington at Rexburg Food Center, where she was a customer favorite. After graduation from beauty school she worked part-time at the Hair Affair in Rexburg.
Michelle lived a life of compassion, generosity and adventure. A few of her travels included Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, two times at Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Europe with her mom. In 1994, she and 3 others traveled across the country in the old Food Center delivery van to attend the 25th anniversary of Woodstock.
Her last great adventure was in 1997 when she, the love of her life Jerry Lynn Bean and her sister Lisa, sold all but the basics and headed north to Alaska. She has been a "hair Kinker" at Ebony & Ivory Salon for the last 15 years. She and the ladies she worked with formed a special salon sisterhood.
Michelle considered her pets her children, they included cats, Zeus and Venus. Dogs, Rugen and Kwig who were all waiting for her on the other side. She left behind, as a comfort to Jerry, her beloved dog Riley.
She is survived by her parents, her love Jerry Lynn Bean and her sister Lisa Kay Siepert. She is also survived by her sisters of the heart, Jodi (Shane) Johnson and Alisa Smith, honorary brother Kelly Carlson, her Aunt Bobbette and Uncle Bob Carlson.
She was preceded in death by both sets of Grandparents.
