Mitchell "Mitch" Milo Medcalf, 54, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at home due to health complications.

He was born August 3, 1960 in Kankakee, Illinois. He graduated from Madison High School in 1978. He worked avidly as an explosives expert before becoming disabled due to health complications.

He was a free spirited individual who enjoyed being with friends and making people laugh. He also enjoyed fishing, working on cars, playing with his hot rods and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his two sons, Colt (Katie) Medcalf of Rexburg and Hadley Grende of Idaho as well as two grandchildren, Morrgan and Lilly Medcalf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth E. Arbuthnot and Shirley "Kimberly" Lenore Morse.

A non-religious memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at the Rexburg South Stake Center culture hall located at 2041 W 5200 S, Rexburg, Idaho. There will be an opportunity to share memorials and stories, with a luncheon provided.
