Monica Thacker

Monica Joyce Thacker, 64, of Rexburg, Idaho, passed away on September 21, 2026. Born on January 3, 1962, in Renton, Washington, she was the beloved daughter of Robert Gary Swannack and Joyce-Marie Tavernier. She dedicated her life to being a devoted wife and mother, bringing warmth, kindness, and love to everyone around her.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Evan Lamon Thacker; her children, Kari-Sue, Danielle, and Kelli; and her siblings, Elva Watson (the late Larry Watson), Russell Swannack (Linda), Michael Swannack (Kathy), Kimberly Dawson, and Ernie Swannack (Gayle). She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gary Swannack and Joyce-Marie Tavernier. To the best wife and mom, we love you the most.

A short memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Flamm Funeral Home, located at 61 North 1st East in Rexburg, Idaho, with burial to follow at Rexburg Cemetery, located at 350 West Moran View Drive in Rexburg, Idaho.
