Obituary

Nancy Lee Jones, 66, of Hibbard, passed away July 10, 2013. She was born January 30, 1947, in Rexburg, to Miles Robert and Helen Marie Christopherson Jones. She attended school in Madison County and graduated from Madison High School. She also attended an airline stewardess school in Florida and Henniger's Business College in Ogden.

Her employment included working at a bank in Salt Lake City, and at First Security Bank in Rexburg. She also worked for the INEL for 20 years.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved and appreciated her visiting and home teachers.

She had a deep love for her family and for animals. Nancy always had an assortment of crafts to entertain her nieces and nephews during their frequent visits, and she was a favorite of theirs. She tended and cared for her aging mother until she passed away in 2003. She collected pets and at times it seemed as if she fed every stray cat in the county.

Hobbies and activities she enjoyed include arts and crafts, photography, sewing, crocheting, playing cards, reading, fishing and going for drives.

Nancy will be deeply missed by those who had the opportunity to have her in their lives.

Survivors include her beloved mini Dachshund, Babe, who was her best friend and house mate; three brothers, Robert Marvin (Phyllis) Jones and Charles Roy (Linda) Jones of Rexburg, DeVere L. (Alice) Jones of Yuma, Arizona; a sister-in-law, JoAn Helm Jones Hertlein of Clayton, Washington; an aunt, Verla Brown of Plano; 16 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lyle Dean Jones, and an aunt, Ruth Harrop.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 18, at the Henry's Fork Stake Center, 1508 West 3000 North, in Rexburg. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
