Nancy Ball Simmons, died Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home in Rexburg, ID. She was born June 14, 1971, at Idaho Falls, ID, the third child of Gary and JoAnn Westergard Ball.

She grew up in Rexburg, and in 1989 graduated from Madison High School where she participated in Volleyball, orchestra and the Bobcadettes. She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Office Systems Management.

She married John Simmons in May 1992, and they lived in Iona. They were divorced in 2003.

She worked at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for several years before moving to Las Vegas, NV, to work with their medical division there. She then worked at Valley Health Systems. She moved back to Rexburg in 2010 and has since worked in the fitness industry at World Gym.

She loved the outdoors, biking, rollerblading, hiking, running and someday wanted to sky dive. She loved scary movies, roller coasters and sushi.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She is survived by her parents, Gary and JoAnn Ball, Rexburg, her brothers and sisters: Michael (Doreen), Westminster, CO, Brian (Tacy), Mark (Carrie), Wendy (Bruce) Cook, all of Rexburg, Kevin, Idaho Falls, and Joni, Atlanta GA. and 13 nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her two loyal, faithful and now lonely dogs – Frosty and Bear.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Phineas and Mabel Ball and Riley and Iris Westergard.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, at the Rexburg East Stake Center, 387 South 4th East. The family will meet with friends Tuesday evening, October 15, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Ammon Cemetery.
