Obituary

Naomi Boyl Rawson Kington, 88, passed away at her home in Rexburg, Idaho on August 6, 2015. She was born on July 15, 1927 in Plano, Idaho, the youngest of Harry and Elizabeth Rawson's twelve children. Her youth was spent in the Plano area.

After graduation from Edmunds High School in May of 1945, she and her mother moved to Rexburg to enable her to find work. There she met the love of her life, Levear Kington, a recently returned war veteran and next door neighbor. They were married on June 19, 1946, and sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS temple on April 18, 1957. They built a home in Rexburg and when it was destroyed by the Teton Dam Flood in 1976, they rebuilt on the same location. After Levear's death in July 1986, her focus was to stay in her home and remain independent.

She was active in her church, the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, a Gold Circle Member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW, and was always involved in crafts and sewing.

She is survived by her only child Harry and his wife Suellen of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Jason and his wife Annie, of San Jose, California; Kimberly and her husband Jonathan Beckstrom of Salt Lake City, Utah; Bethany and her husband James Nixon of Orange, California; great-grandchildren, Sofia Kington; Evelyn Nixon (due in six weeks). The family would especially like to thank Therba Paul, Carol Taylor, relatives, and other friends that were instrumental in helping grant her wish of being able to remain in her home until the end.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Rexburg 11th Ward Chapel located at 590 Summerwood. Family will receive friends Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery
