Melvin Neil Mihlfeith, 79, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021. He is survived by his wife, Helen, of Perry, Utah; his daughter Jennifer Stucki of Syracuse, Utah; his daughter JaNeil Jorgensen of Windermere, Florida; his son Brian Mihlfeith of Mesa, Arizona; and his son Derek Mihlfeith of Herriman, Utah; and numerous grandchildren.
"Neil" Mihlfeith was born in Pocatello, Idaho to Josie and Melvin Mihlfeith. During his teen years, he was a famous football star halfback with Sugar Salem High School in Sugar City, Idaho. He attended Ricks College and later the University of Idaho. Mihlfeith served a two-and-a-half-year LDS mission in the Sao-Paulo, Brazil Mission. He was a member of the National Guard and was deployed into the Vietnam War from 1968-1969. In his later years he really enjoyed travelling, spending time with his kids, grandkids, extended family and his dog, Dixie.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The funeral will be held at the Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho on Friday, October 15, 2021, at 2pm . Interment will be at Plano Cemetery in Plano, Idaho.
