Nicholas "Nick" Brent Bissette, 37, formerly of Rexburg, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 in Minnesota from injuries received in an accident.
Nicholas Brent Bissette was born to James K. and LaDawn Bissette on March 1, 1978, joining his older brother Jimmie. He grew up in Rexburg. He attended Kindergarten in Tulelake, CA, LaPine, OR, and Rexburg. He attended Middle school, Jr. High and Graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg.
On September 25, 1998 Nick married Louisa Hokanson in Rexburg. On April 22, 2000 he was sealed to his beautiful love in the Idaho Falls Temple. To this marriage an awesome son was added on November 30, 2002.
Nick loved his family and his work. Nick was a very hard worker. He worked at Ultimate Direction while still in High School and also installed satellite dishes with Jeff Jolley for a few years. Then Nick went to work for Artco. He started as a press operator and advanced to a lead position on the press floor. In 2002 Nick took a position in the IT Department. He quickly advanced because of his understanding of computers and ability to learn quickly. Nick worked at Taylor Corp. as a Network Engineer at the time of his passing. He was very valuable member of the Taylor IT team
Nick loved to take his family camping when Nate was small. He loved to do pretty much anything with his son. When he was with his son, he was truly happy. Nick and Nate played games together online and talked on the phone for hours after Nick moved to Mankato. Nick made sure his son knew he loved him. .
He is survived by his son Nathan Bissette, mother LaDawn Bissette, brother Jim Bissette (Simpsonville, SC) and grandfather Dawn Blakely (Ririe, ID). He was proceeded in death by his father Jim Bissette, Grandma Wanda Bissette and Grandma LaNona Blakely.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Rexburg 11th Ward Chapel located at 590 Summerwood Drive. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services. Interment will be in the Sutton Cemetery.
