Obituary

Nile Lewis, 76, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021, from Parkinson's Disease.

He was born on July 8, 1945, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Arza and Verna Lewis.

He grew up and attended schools in St. Anthony, Idaho.

Nile married Joyce Rossmeisl, on September 16, 1977, in St. Anthony, Idaho.

Their first son, Jonathan was born December 16, 1982. James, their second son was born December 20, 1989.

He worked for the Rogers Brothers for 20 years, working his way up to a supervisory position. He then relocated to Bellingham, Washington. He worked in a supervisory position and as an engineer for Trans Ocean Products.

Nile played a key role in the designing and planning of a new seafood processing plant. He then suffered his first heart attack and decided to move back the Rexburg, Idaho area to be close to his family.

Nile loved camping and hunting. He was fond of his yearly hunting trips in the desert with his friends. Nile loved working with wood. He built furniture and finished and furnished a cabin on the family farm. He spent many hours making beautiful things out of exotic woods. He enjoyed helping his friends with building advice.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce Lewis; sons, Jonathan Lewis and James Lewis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arza and Verna Lewis; sister, Marilyn Walters; brother, Gary Lewis.
