IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Nora
Liggett
August 1, 1983 – February 17, 2025
On February 17th 2025, Nora Liggett left her earthly home to live in Heaven . Her journey began on August 1, 1983 when she was welcomed into a family which eventually became four sisters and one brother. As the middle child, Nora held a special place in their hearts.
Nora grew up in Hibbard, Idaho, and lived there through high school graduation. While in high school, she had a passion for playing sports. Basketball, soccer, and softball were her favorite team sports. She also loved skiing and speeding across the snow on a fast snowmobile. She enjoyed travel to sunny beaches and loved the ocean. Nora collected pins from The Happiest Places on Earth (Disneyland and Disney World) and loved watching Crazy 8's races.
After high school, Nora enrolled at Ricks College. She played intermural sports, played pranks with friends, and had a great college life. Nora made time for family parties and family reunions.
After attending Ricks College, she transferred to Utah State University. At the age of 21, Nora answered a call to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tampa, Florida. She worked hard to teach others that Jesus loves them. She found joy in the wildlife there, marveling at the alligators and a variety of birds. She even endured two hurricane seasons. She made many life-long friends.
After her mission, she worked in Salt Lake City. When the need arose, she moved in with her sister in West Jordan, Utah, to nanny nephews and a niece while her sister pursued a nursing degree. While living in West Jordan, Nora became a licensed massage therapist. She loved using massage as a means to help clients feel better. Years later, Nora moved to Washington to help another sister by nannying two beautiful nieces.
Due to health challenges, Nora eventually returned to her hometown of Hibbard. Her presence there became a blessing to her family and friends. She often said, "My lungs will be the death of me," and, true to her word, that was the case.
Nora had a deep appreciation for the beauty around her. She loved capturing the vibrant Hibbard sunsets and local wildlife through her camera. Being a night owl, she frequently observed nocturnal creatures and eagerly shared her sightings with her family the next day. She had a special fondness for dogs, but none held a place in her heart quite like her beloved Bruce.
One of Nora's greatest strengths was her ability to sense when others were feeling down. She was quick to brighten their day, using her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor to bring laughter and comfort.
Nora was greeted in Heaven by her brother Seth and four loving grandparents. Bruce, her sweet dog, was also there waiting to give Nora loves.
She is survived by her parents, Amber and Greg, as well as her sisters Heidi (Jason), Rebecca (Kris), Sarah (Moroni), and Erin (Andrew). Her memory will live on in their hearts and the countless lives she touched along the way.
Nora's life was a reminder to find joy in simple moments, to care deeply for others, and to face each day with a smile.
