Norma Ruth Armstrong passed peacefully from this life into the loving waiting arms of her husband surrounded by her family on the morning of September 18, 2023.

She was born on August 21, 1943 to Irving Noakes and Leona Rawles Noakes. Ruth lived her early years in St. Anthony. She attended school there, and graduated from South Fremont High School.

Ruth loved swimming and in her youth she would swim in the river in St. Anthony.
As soon as she was able to, she started working at Grants Drug in St. Anthony. She used the money she earned to help care for her younger siblings.

In 1932 Ruth went on a blind date, and met the man she would marry. Mathew Armstrong and Ruth were married March 6, 1963. They were sealed in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 15, 2002. The day before their daughter married her husband there.

Ruth and Mathew had three children. A daughter Donna (Alan) a son Bill (Valerie) and a stillborn son. Ruth loved her family.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Mathew), her son, and her brother Kim.

She is survived by her daughter Donna (Alan), son Bill (Valerie) and seven grandchildren: Ruth, Rose, Matt (Hallie), Brooklyn, Jaxton, and Zach
Ruth is also survived by her two sisters Diane Greaves and Darla Blomker.
