Norma Jean Hawkes Bagley, 87, of Salem, died from natural causes Thursday, June 13, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born April 19, 1937 to Bryant and Evelyn Hawkes, the youngest of five girls.
Norma attended Madison High School, graduating in 1955. She worked in a soda shop and later as a hairdresser until she met her sweetheart and eternal companion, Quenton Bagley. They were married August 1, 1958 in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. To this union were born three children: David Lorenzo, Evelyn Kay and Kris.
Norma left the city life for farm life when she married Quenton and did her best to be a farmer's wife. She loved to garden and tend her flowers. She enjoyed old movies - especially John Wayne westerns, reading, spending time with her family and watching a good football game or NASCAR race.
She is survived by her children, Kay (Dan) Peterson, Kris (Marsha) Bagley, 9 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sisters, a son, David Bagley, son-in-laws Steve Munns and Brad Hilton and her sweetheart, Quenton Bagley.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 18th at the Rexburg Cemetery.
