Norma Pryor Limb
Norma Pryor Limb, 88, of Rexburg, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the Rexburg Care Center.
She was born October 30, 1921, in Minersville, Utah to Franklin Irving Pryor and Ima Myers. She was the oldest of six children.
Norma was reared in Minersville. It was while she was attending high school in Beaver, Utah, that she met her future husband, Byron Ray Limb. On September 25, 1936, they were married in Parowan, Utah, and in July 1953, the marriage was solemnized in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. On September 10, 1937 she gave birth to a son, Byron Frank Limb, and April 14, 1940, a daughter, Sherrie, joined the family. After living in Utah, they moved to Ruth, Nevada in 1944, where Byron worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation as a heavy-duty mechanic.
They lived in Ruth and Ely, Nevada for 35 years. Byron retired from Kennecott in 1976 and three years later they moved to Orem, Utah, residing there for five years. In 1984 Norma and Byron moved to Rexburg, Idaho.
Norma enjoyed reading, cooking, styling and cutting hair, temple work and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions in the Relief Society, Primary, and Young Women's organizations on the ward and stake level. She especially enjoyed participating in the Spanish name extraction program for seven years.
Norma was a wonderful sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be greatly missed. She is survived by a son, Byron Frank (Judith) Limb of Great Falls, Mont.; a daughter, Sherrie L. (John) Bonner of Rexburg; a brother, Charles Ray (Louise) Pryor; three sisters-in-law, Betty (Frank) Pryor; Berniece (Rex) Limb, and Arema (Earl) Limb; 10 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two twin brothers, Howard J. and Harold K. Pryor; another brother, Frank Richard Pryor; a sister, Collette E. Hodge; several nieces and nephews, and a granddaughter, Karen Jean Limb.
Funeral Services will be conducted at the Crest Haven LDS Church in Rexburg by Bishop Nathan Williams on Saturday, October 23, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, October 23 prior to the services.
Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah, on Monday, October 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.
