Norma Jeannette Stucki, 84, of Rexburg, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2017, Easter Sunday, surrounded by her loving family.
Norma was born October 17, 1932, to Alfred and Jean Rayment, at the Royal Alex Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The family moved to Hylo, Alberta where she grew up. She moved back to Edmonton in her late teens and was converted to the Gospel at 19.
She met and married Murry Matthews in 1955. Three children were born to this union, SuZan, Kyle and Layne. She later married J. Wendell Stucki in 1972, and they had one son, Jason.
She taught elementary school for many years. She later finished her Bachelor's Degree and also earned a Masters Degree. She retired from a 30 year career at the JCC. After retiring she enjoyed her much loved home and family.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions; her favorites included roadshow director and temple worker.
She is survived by her children; SuZan (Henri) Bonan of Sandy, Utah, Kyle (Darla) Stucki of Rexburg, Layne (DiAnne) Stucki of St. Anthony, Jason (Katrina) Stucki of American Falls, JoAnn (Bryce) Bennett of Layton, Utah, Joseph (Penny) Stucki of Champaign, Illinois, Marvin (Kathleen) Stucki of Portland, Oregon; siblings, Larry (Arlene) Rayment of Edmonton, Gordon (Helen) Rayment of Hylo, Alberta, Chris (Danny) Rayment of Edmonton, Edward (Pat) Rayment of Hylo; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Jean Rayment; husband, J. Wendell Stucki; brothers, Danny and Melvin; children, Rae Hansen, Elizabeth Thomas, Rodney Stucki.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 21, at the Rexburg LDS East Stake Center, with Bishop Gary Baird officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg and Friday from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Paris Idaho Cemetery.
