Oma Gaye Parsons, age 91, of Rexburg, died on July 30, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center due to natural causes.

Oma was born on November 26, 1930, to Hoover and Mary Kidd of Kentucky. She was raised with three brothers and four sisters. She met Tivis Parsons, also of Kentucky, in their growing-up years and they later married in 1961. Together they raised their two children, Don and Vicky.

She began working early in life and through her experiences learned the value of hard work. In later years she worked at potato warehouses in the area. She loved working in her garden and flower beds. She liked reading and enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music.

She was a responsible person and took care of herself and others.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tivis Parsons.

She is survived by her son, Don Parsons, and daughter, Vicky Parsons of Rexburg.

Private services will be held in Kentucky.
