Orene McCulloch, 76 of Rexburg, died Monday, October 26, 2009 in Rexburg of natural causes. She was born in Rexburg, ID, on March 11, 1933 to Millie Shail Brown and Ralf Shail. She attended schools in the Madison School District.

She fell in love and married Marvin McCulloch on October 2, 1948. The lived and raised their two children, Terry and Tony in Teton and Madison Counties.

Orene was involved in many clubs and activities. She also spent her life being busy. She loved to work and be a part of something. She enjoyed bowling, taking care of her family, riding on the back of a Harley Davidson, and driving convertibles but most of all she cherished her friendships above all else. She was a thoughtful person who often forgot her own needs to provide for others.

She was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Her strong memory binded her as a neighbor and part of the Rexburg Community, she knew first hand and could tell you who's who. She was easy to notice wherever she went and will be noticeably missed by all of us. The family would like to thank all those who make these past few months so meaningful and special for Orene.

She is survived by a son, Tony (Rita) McCulloch of Rexburg, her mother, Mildred Shail Brown of Rexburg, a brother Micheal (Joyce) Brown of Colorado, as well as two grandchildren, Jasen (Lindy) Owens and Crystal McCulloch and four great grandchildren, Sierra, Trude, Sheridan Reagen Owens.

She was preceded in death by her father, husband and a daughter, Terry.

The family will receive friends 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the Burton Cemetery, Bishop Brett Sampson officiating. Condolence may be sent to the family online at www.flammfh.com.
