Paddy Mary Hall Mulkay died peacefully in The Homestead, assisted living center, Rexburg, Idaho on Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the age of 81.
Paddy and her twin sister, Peggy, were born on July 27, 1933 in Roberts, ID to Frank and Jenile (Young) Hall. She grew up in Annis, ID and graduated from Rigby High School in 1951. She attended BYU where she met Lewis Mulkay. They married in 1955 in the Idaho Falls Temple.
They moved to various teaching positions but settled in Rexburg in 1959 where Lewis taught at Ricks College and Paddy worked as a teller in several local banks. Along the way they had five children, four sons and one daughter. They raised three to adulthood. They had many friends and good experiences during these years.
Paddy was a wonderful homemaker and loved keeping her home neat and tidy and filled with many pretty things. She learned about hard work in her youth on the family farm and used this talent in all she did.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions, including working in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Paddy is survived by her husband, Lewis Marcellus Mulkay, Rexburg, Idaho; sons, Mark (Mary Ann) Mulkay, Bakersfield, CA; and Eric (Annette) Mulkay, Spring, TX and daughter, Kelli (Jeff) Watts, Murtaugh, ID, sisters Peggy (Blaine) Williams, Bountiful, UT and Bonnie (James) Rodgers, Westminster, CO; brothers Roger (Rozanne) Hall, Medford, OR; and Foster (Kathy) Hall, Federal Way, WA. 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Jenile (Young) Hall, Son, Kyle Leslie Mulkay, an infant son, and a granddaughter, Amy Mulkay.
We thank the staff of the Homestead for their care and personal attention given to both Paddy and Lewis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 27, at the Rexburg LDS East Stake Center, 387 South 4th East, with Bishop Mark Bennion of the Rexburg 10th Ward officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the stake center prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery under the direction of Flamm Funeral Home.
