Obituary

Patricia Lou Bagley Sorenson , 69, of St. Anthony, Idaho passed away in
her home on June 4, 2011 following a long and courageous battle with
Parkinson's Disease.
Patricia was born October 31, 1941 in Montpelier
Idaho to Cleone and Lewis Ward Bagley. She graduated from Montpelier
High School as Valedictorian and Graduated from Utah State University with
High Honors with a bachelor degree in elementary education.
Patricia married her high school sweetheart Charles Samuel Sorenson on August 7, 1963 in
the Salt Lake Temple.
She taught school in the Logan school district
until her husband graduated from Utah State and began his career with the
Forest Service. At that time they started their family.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
and was active all of her life. She had a special love for the Relief Society and served
in many positions including Ward Relief Society President and a member of
the Stake Relief Society Presidency.
She was a talented musician and served as an organist and pianist throughout her life.
She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and held many positions in that
organization. She was a skilled seamstress and enjoyed all types of hand
crafts.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Sorenson of St. Anthony,
Idaho, her children Todd (Michele) Sorenson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Stacey
(Rick) Hopkin of Lewisville, Texas, and Suzanne (Bryan) Stoddard of St.
Anthony, Idaho, and ten grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both
her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 7,
2011 at the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center with Bishop Michael Carlson
conducting. Family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Monday
June 6, 2011 and from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service both
at the church. Interment will be at the St. Anthony Riverview Cemetery under the
direction of Bert Flamm Mortuary. Family suggests donations to the
Primary Children's Hospital or their church humanitarian fund in lieu of
flowers.
