Paul M. Packer, 62, passed away on April 19, 2026, surrounded by family.
Born on March 6, 1964, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Don and Linda Packer, he was the second oldest of six children. From an early age, he was known for his caring heart, strong sense of family, and sense of humor.
In 1983, he proudly served in the Army Reserve, demonstrating his dedication and commitment to serving others. He was also a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his values of love, service, and faith were reflected in the way he lived his life.
He was a devoted “girl dad” to his two daughters, Sarah McKinzie and Samantha Lee, whom he loved deeply and unconditionally. His greatest joy came from his family, especially his six wonderful grandchildren, who brought light and laughter into his life.
He had a love for travel and found peace and happiness at the beach. He loved racing snow machines and was a phenomenal shooter in his early years, earning many awards and recognition. He also had a passion for photography, capturing moments and memories that will be cherished for years to come. He shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Sterling, who was a constant companion.
He will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, his love for his family, and the countless memories he created with those who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Sarah McKinzie Rollins and Samantha Lee (Trace) Hillman; his siblings, Scott (Robin) Packer, Lorraine (Tracy) Bradley, Heather (Shawn) Stolworthy, Renee (Chris) Tucker, and Jesse (Ashley) Packer; and his six grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Don and Linda Packer, and his nephew, Michael Packer.
