Peggy Ruth Logan Rinehart, 92 of St. Anthony, passed away on October 10, 2021 at Homestead Assisted Living Center in St. Anthony.

Peggy was born April 1, 1929 in East Wilford Idaho the daughter of Douglas Baird Logan and Mary Malissa Simons. She had 3 sisters.

She went to school in Newdale until their house burnt down December 7, 1941. Their family then moved to St. Anthony where Peggy graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1947. She attended Ricks College for two years.

Peggy worked for St. Anthony School District and Montgomery Ward in Idaho Falls. She lived and worked in California for a time. She worked in Island Park at Macks Inn and at BM Tibbitts and Sons. She retired from Fremont County School District after being a cook at Lincoln Elementary for 28 years. In 1959 Peggy met and fell in love with Arnold E. Rinehart and they were married August 21, 1959 in St. Anthony Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Peggy is survived by her two sons Lyndon (Mary) Rinehart and Duane (Brandy) Rinehart both of St. Anthony; 5 grandsons & 1 granddaughter; 4 great grandsons and 4 great granddaughters; 2 sisters, Joyce Klein of Teton, Idaho and Marilyn Logan of St. Anthony, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arnold, her son Douglas McDowell; her sister LaDean Messinger and great granddaughter, Elisabeth Mae Rinehart.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony LDS Stake Center 247 E. 4th N. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary, 581 E. 1st N. and again on Thursday from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial will be in the Wilford Cemetery.
